Who doesn’t know social media?

In the modern day, almost every individual has undergone a digital transformation in their own way. Digital media has the immense power to break boundaries and bring like-minded people together with just a click.

Today, 7 out of 10 people on the planet are somehow connected through various internet platforms. For the business world, the benefits are endless here and if you play well, the results are for one to witness.

However, the flip side of the same is that no social media presence is equivalent to nonexistence

Social media has become more important now than ever, due to the new normal routines of remote work spaces, social distancing and general conduct of individuals. Customers prefer online communication and transaction over traditional channels at least for a fore-seeable future.

This is the time when businesses should make their presence felt through digital channels, to indicate and facilitate their customers who are willing to transact with them.

Take full advantage of Instagram and Pinterest

In the entire social media platform, Instagram and Pinterest are unique because you could reach a wide range of customers in no time. This is also a good source to estimate the number of users who have interest and follow your brand.

Engaging in a dialogue with them will not only give you pointers for product enhancement but also help in managing their expectations. Brands should create an advantageous situation for themselves by tying up their content through simple yet memorable Insta #hashtags.

Using the Stories feature, you can redirect them to relevant landing pages i.e, YouTube videos and pages of your site. This will help drive the traffic to your website which is your primary goal.

Moreover, facilitate Pinterest users by creating rich pins and crafting highly engaging images of your products. Businesses don’t always need professional graphic designers to create a stunning profile, as there are cheaper tools and photo editing apps which significantly reduce the designing duration and expense.

Connect with your audience

Be real and meaningful when you expose your brand to your followers. If you are not building relationships with your audience – it will have disastrous effects on your brand perception.

If you provide helpful, informative or even entertaining content that relates to current scenarios, you can engage your audience effectively. But thats a fine line to tread as one negative or misconceived information can make or break your image.

Speeding your response of queries will delight your customer. Though responding quickly is essential, a standard automated message may not always be sufficient.

People expect a more emotionally engaging discussion with the brand where they genuinely feel their suggestions/concerns are being taken into consideration and are addressed.

Don’t forget – Consistency is Key

Remember the goal of your marketing is to be relevant and authentic. Don’t be dispersed in what you share via social media. Show what you know and share what your audience will find relevant to their current lives.

Find the fine balance for when and where you are posting the content. Make sure that you aren’t posting too much of the same content.

Also, ensure that your posts aren’t too long, as it can be unappealing. Same goes for the excessive use of hashtags.

Having a dedicated social team is the first step of the way and thereafter you can build on the strategy from your gauged user perception.

We will touch upon the type of content to curate and advertise for the current times in our next article.
